Roman Orsini, D.P.M.

Board Certified in Foot and Reconstructive Ankle Surgery

Dr. Orsini has roots in the steel town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is one of five siblings. He literally “tripped” into the medical field when he broke his ankle in college and underwent surgical repair by a podiatric surgeon. This was his first exposure to the specialized field of podiatric medicine and surgery.

Dr. Orsini attended Ohio University, where he majored in biology. He then went on to the Chicago School of Podiatry, where he graduated magna cum laude. Following his podiatric schooling, Dr. Orsini returned to Pittsburgh, where he accepted a Comprehensive Surgical residency with some of the top-ranked foot and ankle surgeons in the country. His in-depth residency included extensive training in lower extremity reconstruction, adult acquired flatfeet, limb deformity, and general podiatric surgery. In his third year of residency, Dr. Orsini was chosen to participate in a highly sought after trauma fellowship in Belinzona, Switzerland. What an experience!

It was in Pittsburgh, during residency training, where Dr. Orsini met his wife Stacie. Following residency, the two moved to Lewes in 2001 under the advice of Dr. John Spieker, where Dr. Orsini accepted a position with the Foot and Ankle Center of Delaware. Eventually, Dr. Orsini joined Orthopaedic Associates and began the OASD Foot and Ankle Center. Dr. Orsini and his wife, Stacie, have three beautiful children, two girls and a boy.

Whenever he finds some downtime, Dr. Orsini enjoys golfing, skiing, shooting, spending time with his family, and, of course, rooting on the world champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dr. Orsini has been named a Top Doc multiple times by Delaware Today Magazine, most recently in 2022. The doctors on this list are the most recommended by their professional peers, as determined by a Delaware Today Magazine survey of licensed physicians in Delaware.
